Q. I keep getting "Socket error 10054", what's wrong?
A. Socket error 10054 signifies that an external application has cut the connection.

This could mean that the server you're connecting to has cut the connection. This could also occur if a firewall sits between you and the server, where the firewall could be blocking the request, or some other third-party software that could be intercepting the connection (e.g. spam filter/virus scanner).
