Q. How do I use PuTTYtel?
A. PuTTYtel is an excellent replacement for the Windows Telnet application, and can be used to aid in checking out networking issues.
Double-click on the Puttytel.exe file, and you'll see a window as show below...
- Set the "Host name (or IP address)" field to the name or IP address of the machine you wish to connect to.
- Set the "Port" field to the port number you wish to connect to.
- Set the "Protocol" radio button to "Raw".
- Click the Open button at the bottom of the window to initiate your connection.
